US Fall Play: “Leaving Iowa” – 7:30 p.m.
Successful Boston writer Don Browning, returns to his hometown to celebrate his nephew’s birthday. Having missed his father’s funeral three years earlier, Don now feels compelled to return his father’s ashes to the family homestead. But when Don discovers Grandma’s house is now a grocery store, he sets out on a road trip to find the proper alternative resting place for his father’s ashes. The play features the all-too-familiar family road trip flashbacks taken by the family throughout Don’s childhood. Don relives these delightful and disastrous family vacations – like those in all of our memories – through flashbacks from his past and vignettes including an assortment of present-day characters he meets along the way.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.

7/8 Musical: “James and the Giant Peach” – 7:30 p.m.
When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion which results in a tremendous peach – and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James’ quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.
