LANGUAGE
Children read for enjoyment, but they also read stories to increase their comprehension - not just what happens but why. Stories act as windows to understanding people and the real world.
WRITING AND VOCABULARY
We work to set children at ease in writing and speaking. Conceptual development and quality of content are emphasized.
SCIENCE
Our "future scientists" are immersed in scientific discovery - they learn by doing in our Science and Math Exploratorium.
MATHEMATICS
We help children visualize operations and understand concepts by working with countable objects. By understanding the logic of math early on, students are well grounded to succeed with more advanced math in later years.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Cultures and traditions come alive through visiting experts, field trips and keeping daily journals.
VISUAL ARTS
Students learn to understand visual relationships by exploring colors, shapes, drawing, sculpture, painting and papermaking.
MUSIC
It's all about self-expression and appreciation. Students play instruments, dance to rhythms, sing happy songs and enjoy concerts.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Children enjoy age-appropriate games and physical fitness activities where they are taught to display respect and consideration for themselves and others.
