College Counseling
Welcome to Prairie's virtual college counseling office!
Virtually all of Prairie's students attend a four-year college or university each year, and we place great value on guiding our students as they search for a college or university that best fits their skills and personalities.
This site provides information about Prairie's college placement record, gives you links to other important Web sites, and contains information about things you should be thinking about now (college fair announcements, letters sent home to families, etc.). Click on the categories below - or in the banner on the left - for more information:
Prairie subscribes to an online college search software program called
Naviance . If you want more information about, or access to, this program, please contact Christine Uebe. We typically introduce it to
students in their sophomore year and to parents in the winter of their
child's junior year.
For general information you may want to take a look at the following document - www.nacacnet.org/AboutNACAC/Policies/Documents/StudentsRtsNEW.pdf . This brochure, published by the National Association for College
Admissions Counselors, contains an informative section for parents and
students, including an explanation of your rights and responsibilities
in the application process.
We hope you find this site helpful.
If you have any questions, please contact our office, or telephone us at
