Performing Arts
Prairie's acclaimed Performing Arts program offer many electives. The curriculum includes choir, orchestra/jazz ensemble, acting, theatrical make-up, directing, technical theatre, and AP Music Theory. Performing Arts courses utilize visiting artists and field trips to enhance learning.
Prairie's Performing Arts Department brings together students with a wide variety of talents, skills and interests. From set construction to lighting design, students are "behind the scene" and in front of the lights as they produce several performances and concerts each year. Recent sell-out shows include "Grease," "Phantom," and "Cabaret."

Theatre Productions
The 2010-2011 season’s theatre offerings will consist of a variety of
challenging shows to meet Prairie’s growing student interest. This classic, comic and delightful season has something to

Music Productions
The 2010-2011 season's music offerings include informal performances ranging from Upper School Bach's Lunch, to Middle School Tunes and Treats and Dessert Delights, the fall multi-media concert, to the end-of-year Primary School Music Program. Follow this link for additional information.
Backstage
Backstage is a news and information page for the those interested in or currently working in technical theatre. This page gives a synopsis of this year's shows, what crew positions are available, a job description relative to the positions, credit information and show dates. Additional Music Opportunities and Festivals
If a student is a member of one of Prairie's performing groups, they are eligible to participate in the State Solo Ensemble and Honors festivals, University Honors festivals and community music festivals. For these activities, accompanists are often needed. Information about the festivals and the accompanists can be found by clicking on this link.
