Official Contest Rules & Regulations
By participating, you agree that:
- These Official Contest Rules may not be waived, modified or supplemented except by The Prairie School. No modification of these official contest rules shall be enforceable unless made by The Prairie School.
- 2. The raffle drawing will be held at The Prairie School in Racine, Wisconsin on January 30, 2009. All raffle ticket purchases must be received by the drawing date to be eligible for the drawing. “Received” means credit card payment must have been cleared and collected by The Prairie School. Ticket orders for this raffle will only be accepted via the internet using the Prairie School website (www.prairieschool.com).
- Ticket purchases for this raffle will only be accepted using a major credit card. If the credit card transaction is denied for any reason, the ticket purchase is null and void and the purchaser will be notified via email of the problem.
- Each raffle ticket will be entered separately in the drawing. Each raffle ticket is a separate and equal chance to win the 2009 Masters Golf Package.
- A limited number of raffle tickets may used for promotional purposes by The Prairie School.
- Due to postal regulations, raffle ticket stubs cannot be returned by US mail for purchases made over the internet. When a raffle ticket order is placed and funds have cleared, we will complete the raffle ticket for the purchaser by filling in the name, address and phone number of the purchaser. We will then drop each completed raffle ticket in the secured raffle barrel located at the offices of Jenkins and Vojtisek, a public accounting firm in Racine, Wisconsin. The purchaser will receive an email from The Prairie School confirming their ticket purchase and providing them with their ticket number(s).
- The winner (who need not be present at the drawing) will be contacted based on the name and contact information provided by them at the time of purchasing their ticket. Raffle ticket stubs will be kept on file at The Prairie School.
- Winner notification will be made by telephone and mail. The winner will need to provide proper identification to the satisfaction of The Prairie School.
- A representative of The Prairie School will assist in coordinating all the details with the winner regarding the trip to the 2009 Masters Golf Package.
- Two successive alternate back up winners will be drawn and held by The Prairie School but not announced in case the winner does not claim their prize by February 15, 2009 or is deemed otherwise ineligible.
- Participant must be at least 18 years old at the time of purchasing the raffle ticket to be eligible. Winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility at the discretion of The Prairie School.
- Winner is solely responsible for all taxes related to the raffle prize. The prize includes an estimate for helping the winner pay a portion of the required income taxes.
- The Prairie School will file a form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service to report the value of the prize won. The winner will also receive a copy of this 1099 form.
- In the event the 2009 Masters Golf Package is cancelled or not held for any reason, Prairie School’s liability shall be limited to refund of the ticket price to all participants. The Prairie School’s liability for any other claim is limited to refund of the raffle ticket prices.
- There is to be no substitution for the raffle prize which is the 2009 Masters Golf Package in Augusta, GA.
- Winner agrees to the use of his/her name, photograph or videotape likeness and statements for publicity purposes by The Prairie School, and agrees to sign a publicity release without any further compensation.
- The Prairie School reserves the right to cancel this raffle contest at any time, in which event liability is limited to the refund of ticket prices to all participants.
- Raffle ticket sales are prohibited to Prairie School Board members and their immediate families including spouse and parents-in-law, parents and grandparents, children and their spouses and siblings and their spouses.
- Information gathered from raffle ticket sales will not be sold or shared with any third party organization.
- Any person who engages in conduct designed to corrupt the outcome of a charitable gaming activity with the purpose to defraud, or knowing that he or she is facilitating a fraud, is guilty of a Class D felony.
- THIS CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS, AND IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED, TAXED OR OTHEWISE RESTRICTED.
- All proceeds benefit The Prairie School, a private non-profit organization: Wisconsin Charitable Gaming License Number R0000629A-60010.
