Racine Journal Times (By Journal Times Sports Staff) – The Prairie School picked the right time to come together as a team as the Hawks had four players finish in the top nine in winning their fifth straight regional title.
The Prairie School recorded a 345 total, with St. Catherine’s finishing second at 375. Catholic Memorial was third at 378, and Saint Thomas More was fourth at 388.
Chrissy Craig, a senior, and Rachel Gentile, a sophomore, sparked the Hawks. They each shot an 83 to tie for third place.
Prairie sophomore Danielle Palmen finished sixth with a career-low 86, and Olivia Scumaci, also a sophomore, shot a 93 to tie for ninth place.
“We’ve been slowly getting better,’’ Prairie coach Carrie Massey said. “Today, the girls all played well at the same time. I’m so proud of the way they played today.’’
