Upper School Students Achieve National Merit Status

The Prairie School is pleased to announce that six seniors have qualified for recognition in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.  Of the 1.4 million students who took the 2013 PSAT, only the top five percent (about 34,000) scored high enough to be named Commended Students and only the top one percent (about 16,000) achieved Semi-finalist status.  Of the Semi-finalists, about 15,000 qualified as Finalists and will go on to compete for three types of National Merit Scholarships to be awarded in spring.

The Prairie School community warmly congratulates seniors Maria Hatem, Sapan Shah, and Annabel Ware, who were named Commended Students, as well as seniors Jaimeson Bukacek Frazier, Mateo Garcia-Novelli, and Roman Palvanov, who have achieved Finalist status.
