New to Prairie?
If the 2020-2021 school year marks your child’s first as a Prairie Hawk, please read through the information in this section. This applies to your new student, even if you have another child currently enrolled. If you are a returning family with no new students, you can scroll down to Step 1.

PowerSchool is the online system Prairie uses to track family contact information, student health records, and academic history.
Please click the adjacent button to login. Review and update the data in each of the five sections listed, for each child. Don’t forget to change the date and click ‘Submit’ at the bottom of each page, even if your data remains unchanged!

All new-to-Prairie parents and students should review the 2020-21 MAT Course Descriptions below with their child as soon as possible. Later this month, Kim Forsman, Middle School Administrative Assistant, will be contacting you regarding your child’s course preferences.

Complete Summer Reading
All new and returning MS students are expected to complete reading assignments over the summer.
New families: Some assignments may require your child to know their Prairie ID, email address, and Google Classroom information — all of which your child will receive during New Student Orientation. If questions arise, please contact the appropriate teacher — all contact information is included in the Summer Reading document.
DEADLINE: Due dates vary
Register for MS Athletics
The registration portal will open at noon on Friday, July 10th. All registrations must be completed by 9:00AM on Friday, August 21st.

Complete Summer Reading
All new and returning US students are expected to complete reading assignments before classes resume in the fall.
New families: Some assignments may require your child to know their Prairie ID, email address, and Google Classroom information — all of which they will receive during Summer Bridge. If questions arise, please contact the appropriate teacher. All teacher contact information is included in the Summer Reading document.

Complete Summer Math
All returning US students should have received a Summer Math packet before the close of the 2019-2020 school year, and are expected to complete math assignments before classes resume in the fall.
New students are not required to complete Summer Math assignments, but if interested in doing so, may request a packet from Molly Lofquist Johnson in the Admission Office.

Register for US Athletics
The registration portal will open on Friday, July 10th. All registrations must be completed by Wednesday, August 5th.
