Crowdfunding F.A.Q.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising small amounts of money from a large number of people, typically via the internet.

What are the benefits of crowdfunding?

It is a personal message shared from an individual in the community, not the face of an organization.

How can I spread the word that I am crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding finds its power through the internet. Sharing your crowdfunding page on Facebook, Twitter and email allow your friends, family and coworkers to see what you are up to!

How long will it take to set up my crowdfunding page?

All you have to do is fill out a survey (it might take you 5 minutes) which will populate your crowdfunding page. Questions will range from how long you have been golfing to your most entertaining moment on the green.

Do I have to worry about any of the back-end technological jargon or money handling?

Nope, not one bit. Leave that to us! Our Golf team will update and take care of all the donations. We will update your crowd funding progress bar and provide you updates via email when you receive a donation (if you’d like us to, of course).

Do I need to set a certain goal?

Not at all! We would encourage you to set your target at the number you feel comfortable with. (You can always exceed it!)

Does crowdfunding actually work?

Crowdfunding relies on the power of sharing. The more people you share it with the higher the chances of gaining support! Just remember, a personal testimony about your connection and passion with Prairie goes a long way!
