Grandparents’ Day 2026

Grandparents’ Day activities will take place from 8:30AM – 12:00PM. You will have the opportunity to spend time in your grandchild(ren)’s classrooms and see specials such as art and music.

Refreshments will be available throughout the school for you to enjoy while visiting with your grandchild.

Music is a special part of the Prairie experience, and during Grandparents’ Day, you’ll have the opportunity to witness several student performances, should you choose to attend. All performances will take place in the Student Research Center, where seating is flexible and accessible:

  • 8:30am: Early School Performance (All Early School Classes)

  • 10:00am: 5th and 6th Grade Choir

  • 10:30am: Upper School Choir

  • 11:30am: 7th and 8th Grade Choir

Student schedules are provided by their classroom teacher/advisor. If you have any questions about your grandchild’s individual schedule, please discuss them with your grandchild or their parents ahead of time.

Important Instructions for Grandparents Visiting Students in Early School

  • All grandparents visiting grandchildren in Early School should enter through Door #2 (Main Entrance/Theatre).

  • Your day will begin in the Student Research Center at 8:30AM. All Early School students will perform a special program of songs.

  • Following the performance, you’ll proceed to the Early School classrooms.

Prairie’s address is 4050 Lighthouse Drive, Racine, WI 53402.

Guests are invited to park in the main lot, which can be entered off of Lake Meadow Drive.

Due to high attendance, parking spaces will be limited. Members of our team will be outside to assist with directing traffic.

We highly encourage carpooling or arranging for someone to drop you off and pick you up.

Prairie is a single-story, accessible space. Some activities may involve walking varying distances across campus.
