What Being a Hawk Means to Abby:
“Being a Hawk means showing dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence both inside and outside of the classroom.”

Whether she’s anchoring a relay or leading a club meeting, Abby approaches every opportunity with heart and purpose. A thoughtful role model and motivator, she uplifts her teammates and peers through quiet strength and consistent effort.

“Abby is purpose-driven and community-minded,” said Spanish teacher Hannah Lane. “She’s always looking for ways to invite others into Hispanic Culture Club activities while keeping the mission front and center.”

Coach Kathleen Rooney added, “She has so much determination and never quits. Not only is she a resilient runner, but a person of outstanding character, and a student who shows extraordinary work ethic and leadership. She is the kind of teammate that everyone wants on their team – in sports or any other area of life.”

Next fall, Abby will pursue a degree in health sciences on the pre-PA track at either the University of Virginia or Clemson University. We are excited to see what she accomplishes next!
