What Being a Hawk Means to Musa:
“Being a Hawk means representing a community larger than yourself, whether on the tennis court or at a Model UN conference. One quote that sticks with me is something Coach Schafer always says: ‘Give 100% effort with a touch of class.’ That touch of class is what sets Prairie apart.”

From leading the school’s March Madness bracket to lighting up the tennis court with strategic precision, Musa brings both focus and light-heartedness to everything he does. A top student with interests in computer and data science, he’s also a natural mentor and team player – always ready to help, listen, and lead.

“Musa is that rare kind of presence – calm, composed, and deeply respected by all,” shared Klay Shannon, Director of Technology. “He leads with quiet confidence, sincere curiosity, and a steady commitment to excellence. He’s made our community better simply by being himself.”

Whether analyzing court angles or cracking inside jokes in math class, Musa’s steady growth, humility, and strength of character are unmistakable.

“Musa approaches tennis and life with a poise and calmness that allows him to flourish as a leader and partner,” said his doubles teammate Jon Orth ’25. “In stressful times or urgent situations, he remains calm and makes the right decisions. He’s a leader who understands the importance of relationships – and that’s what makes him so respected.”

Mari Grobschmidt, Head of Upper School, sums Musa up best: “He is kind and considerate of others, he is an exceptional teammate, and he is a deeply introspective academic. Musa is a valuable member of our Upper School community, and Prairie is a better school because of him.”

We’re proud to celebrate Musa as a Hawk You Should Know!
