Weekly Results

Boys' Tennis

The boys hosted a pair of tough teams on Saturday, April 19th, and came away with two losses. In the match against Milwaukee Reagan, the Hawks fell 3-4. Gabi Kuvshinikov ’25 (#4 Singles) had the only victory in singles flights with a 7-5, 7-5 win. Jon Orth ’25 and Musa Rahman ’25 (#1 Doubles) cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while the team of Alex Solodio ’25 and Cole Johnson ’27 (#2 Doubles) had a hard-fought win in a tiebreaker, 6-3, 4-6, 10-8. Colin Smith ’28 and Kelly Baker ’25 (#3 Doubles) played a tight match but fell 6-4, 7-6 (4). 

Later, the boys took on the perennial powerhouse Kohler and lost 0-7. Orth and Rahman made it to a tiebreaker but ultimately lost 4-6, 6-2, 10-6. 

 

Boys' Golf

At the Ledger Invite in Fond du Lac on Wednesday, April 23rd, the Hawks got off to a rough start, but they kept improving as the day went on, finishing 8th of 18 with a team score of 358. Jack Regner ’25 finished 15th out of 85 total players with a score of 85. Jack Ulrich ’26 was not far behind him with an 88. Will Schaefer ’25 added a 90, Connor Peery ’27 shot a 95, while Cai Yoo ’26 added a 101 for the Hawks. 

 

Girls' Soccer

Girls’ soccer took on Racine Lutheran at home on April 23rd. The Hawks struck early with a goal from Keira Kimbrough ’27 in the 5th minute. Maeve Harbour ’27 ended a 13-minute scoring drought with her first goal of the season in the 18th minute, and the floodgates opened for the girls. Victoria Rivera ’28 punched in her first goal of the season in the 22nd minute, followed by goals from Kimbrough, Meg Decker ’25, and Elle Jaramillo ’26, all before the 30-minute mark. Kimbrough added her third and fourth goals, Decker added another, while Braelyn Worden ’27 put in her first goal of the season before the half. Going into the break with a 10-0 lead, the Hawks scored one more from Sydney Dues ’25 before the game ended at the 60-minute mark with a score of 11-0. Kimbrough and Jaramillo each assisted on two goals for the game. 

 

LP Baseball

Taking on cross-town and conference rival St. Catherine’s on Tuesday, April 22nd, the boys had a strong pitching performance from Liam Larsen ’27, who threw five innings, allowing only two earned runs while striking out three. Unfortunately, three poorly-timed errors allowed the Angels to win the game 7-5. Kyler Godson ’28 picked up his first varsity hit, and Jack Hood ’27 knocked in an RBI for the LPs.
