Hawk You Should Know

By Meghan Benson | Middle School, Student Life

Meet Jonas I. ’31, a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the Middle School community.

Accomplishments & Activities:

  • Saxophone player in Band, Jazz, and The Rock (n’ Roll) Club
  • Member of Math Counts Club
  • Track and Tennis athlete

What Being a Hawk Means to Jonas:

“I am encouraged to do things I wouldn’t normally do. For example, I was encouraged to try the saxophone and found out that I really enjoy it. The sports are great – I’m in track and tennis, and I love being part of a kind community where students have the choice to try many things.”

Jonas’s passion for learning and his willingness to step outside of his comfort zone are just a few of the qualities that make him a Hawk You Should Know.

“Jonas is consistently ready to help others and goes above and beyond in all that he does – whether in his academic responsibilities or his kindness toward others. He is one of the most positive people I have ever met and has a great talent for looking on the bright side.” – Kathy Boero, Head of Middle School

We are proud to have Jonas in our community, and we can’t wait to see the incredible things he continues to accomplish.

Weather Update from The Prairie School:
