The Hawks won their third straight regional championship in dominant fashion. Now it's on to sectionals.

As the saying goes, it’s important to stop and smell the roses. For the girls’ varsity basketball team, the most recent bouquet in yet another brilliant season came in the form of a WIAA Division 4 Regional Championship on Saturday night with an 89-35 victory over Deerfield High School in the Johnson Athletic Center.

And while the team did pause to snap a pic with their plaque – their third consecutive regional championship trophy – a prevailing vibe surrounds this talented group: we’re not done yet.

The Hawks’ next test in their quest for a gold ball comes Thursday at Burlington High School as the Hawks (22-3, #2 in the WIAA D4 coaches poll) take on Cambridge High School (17-9) in a sectional semifinal at 7:00PM.

Tickets for Thursday’s game can be purchased online now or at the door. Should the Hawks win on Thursday, they will advance to Saturday night’s sectional final at a location TBD.
