Having set the school record for most wins in a single season (23), the Hawks now have their eyes on Prairie's first boys' hoops title since 1982.

In late February the boys’ basketball team secured their fifth straight regional title. A memorable season was guaranteed.

They took their memory-making a step further last Saturday by defeating Cuba City, the state’s top ranked team in D4, on their home floor for the sectional title.

Now they are two games away from making it a season that will live forever in Prairie lore.

With the win over Cuba City, the Hawks advanced to the WIAA Division 4 State Tournament. #1-seeded TPS (23-3) plays Luther (19-1) at 9:05AM on Friday, 3/5. The winner advances to the state final that evening.

“We’re hoping to get two more,” Coach Jason Atanasoff told the Journal Times following the Cuba City game. “That’s the ultimate goal and this group is capable of it.”
